Searcher is Back, after being booted out by Court

There is already an application for a survey in the exact same large tract of ocean by TGS. We include the two areas for clarity below. The cumulative impacts of two seismic/ airgun surveys over the same area could have devastating effects to deep water inhabitants.
Searcher were shown up for really poor consultation before, and were brought before court with an urgent interdict because they ( like Shell/Impact Oil and Gas) were reliant on an outdated Environmental Management Plan and not an Environmental Impact Assessment, which includes meaningful consultation. Searcher are now back.
Oceans Not Oil has requested online participation too for this process, considering this effects the ocean commons of all South Africans. We await details for this. In the meantime here is the notification for public meeting venues and times.
