Petition: Stop the Offshore Oil and Gas in KZN.

A petition has been created for those who want to say NO to Offshore Oil and Gas exploration drilling off KZN’s coast.

An Environmental Authorisation was granted to Sasol and ENI to begin exploration drilling on 9 September. The law allows for members of the public and organisations to lodge an Appeal with reasons as to why this activity should not be undertaken. This petition, together with all the signatures will be sent to the Minister of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries, Ms Barbara Creecy, and request that the exploration drilling is suspended.
